Book Now >>Kelvinator Microwave Oven Common problems & Solution
If you are facing problems with your Kelvinator microwave oven, our technicians provide same-day doorstep diagnosis and repair across Chandigarh and PCMC. Below are common Kelvinator-specific and general microwave faults along with their practical technical solutions:
Kelvinator Convection Heater Connector Thermal Overheating: Burning plastic smell and convection heat stopping due to charred spade terminal connectors. Solution: Replacing burnt wire terminals with high-temperature ceramic-insulated connectors.
Kelvinator Main PCB Transformer Primary Coil Open: Appliance is completely dead with no display even though mains power cord is working. Solution: Testing step-down transformer primary winding and replacing transformer or main PCB.
Kelvinator Turntable Motor Gear Wear: Glass plate jerks or slips under normal food weight. Solution: Inspecting roller ring coupler and replacing stripped synchronous turntable motor.
Microwave Running But Not Heating: Display timer counts down and turntable rotates normally, but food remains cold. Caused by a blown high-voltage diode, shorted HV capacitor, or depleted magnetron tube. Solution: High-voltage circuit discharge safety procedure and replacement of the faulty magnetron, diode, or capacitor.
Sparks & Arcing Inside Cavity: Bright electrical sparks and burning smell near the right chamber wall. Usually caused by grease contamination on the mica waveguide cover plate. Solution: Immediate replacement of the mica waveguide cover sheet and smoothing cavity burn marks.
Turntable Glass Plate Not Rotating: Food heats evenly because the glass plate remains stationary. Caused by a stripped roller coupler or burnt synchronous turntable motor. Solution: Inspection of drive roller coupling and replacement of the turntable motor.
Door Not Latching or Tripping MCB: Operating the microwave door causes household main power circuit breaker to trip. Caused by misaligned door latch hooks or shorted primary/secondary door interlock microswitches. Solution: Alignment of door latch assembly and replacement of defective microswitches.
Microwave Completely Dead / Not Turning On: No display, no light, completely unresponsive. Caused by blown incoming power fuse, open thermal cutoff thermostat, or defective power supply transformer. Solution: Testing fuse continuity, thermal cutoffs, and repairing power input circuitry.
